BREAKING: Christian Baker Likely Headed To SCOTUS Again As LGBT Persecution Reaches New Low

(Liberty Bell) – If you were to look at the sheer amount of religious persecution one baker in Colorado has undergone for refusing to compromise his religious values and bake cakes along with other goods for gay weddings, you’d swear up and down that it is the only bakery in the state. I mean, that has to be the explanation for why so many same-sex couples continue to frequent the establishment and demand cakes to affirm their sexual deviance, right?

If other bakers do indeed exist in Colorado, why not simply go to one who doesn’t mind baking cakes for your fake nuptial ceremony? It doesn’t make sense.

Oh, that’s right. The LGBTQ community believes that they have MORE rights than a Christian — or anyone else for that matter — and everyone else should accept their deviant lifestyle as “normal.” If you need the affirmation of a specific group of people in order to feel normal about some sort of behavior you’re engaged in, I hate to break it to you, but, well, it’s not actually normal.

This is why there aren’t straight pride parades demanding the whole world accept straight couples and celebrate heterosexuality. Because that is normative for humankind. Homosexuality is not. And everybody knows it, though many are afraid to acknowledge it.

“According to the Washington Times, the latest case — Scardina v. Masterpiece Cakeshop, Smith’s bakery — involves his refusal to bake a blue-and-pink gender transition cake. The state Supreme Court heard oral arguments in the case on Tuesday, which involved a request to bake a cake from seven years ago. You read that correctly,” C. Douglas Golden of The Western Journal wrote.

“Inside the courtroom, the seven judges focused on the cake — blue on the outside, pink on the inside — that Autumn Scardina requested in 2017 to celebrate the first anniversary of her gender transition,” the Times went on to say. “Masterpiece declined to make the custom cake after learning what it represented.”

Golden then penned a scathing paragraph in his report about Colorado Supreme Court Justice Melissa Hart, saying, “And boy, if you thought now-Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown-Jackson was dense when she couldn’t answer what a woman was during her confirmation hearings, let me introduce you to Colorado Supreme Court Justice Melissa Hart, who came up with a hypothetical that has to be heard to be believed and may not be believed even then.”

The justice, as per the Times, “listed examples of how identical blue-pink cakes could be used for four different occasions, including a gender transition; the birthday of boy-and-girl twins; the loss in utero of fraternal twins, or no occasion at all.”

“Those four cakes could go to the wrong houses, and it wouldn’t matter,” Justice Hart commented. “It’s pink cakes with blue icing. And if they go to the wrong houses, such as that the one that was for the fraternal twins went to the transition home, it wouldn’t matter. It’s the same cake.”

As Golden revealed in his piece, there weren’t four cakes. There was one single cake, which was supposed to be for a gender transition. The sole reason the transgender activist wanted this particular cake? To drag him back into court.

“Phillips’ attorney, Jake Warner of the conservative Alliance Defending Freedom, noted that ‘even the same words can express different things depending on the context,’ quoting the majority opinion of the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg in 2015’s Yates v. United States,” Golden stated in the article.

“For example, ‘my body, my rights’ might mean one thing to an abortion advocate, and mean something totally different to an anti-vaxxer,” Warner asserted, continuing to make his case. “Here, just because Phillips could create an identical-looking cake doesn’t mean that he can create this cake that expresses a message that goes against his beliefs.”

Warner remarked that the meaning behind the cake was critical due to the fact that “the compelled speech doctrine protects the individual freedom of mind.”

“The compelled speech doctrine is a principle of First Amendment jurisprudence which states that the government can’t force any individual to support certain forms of expression, verbally or nonverbally,” the report said.

The case itself came after the Colorado Civil Rights Commission settled with Phillips following a complaint Scardina made about the cake. Scardina, not being satisfied with the settlement, has managed to take victories in both trial and appeals court.

It should be noted that all seven of the justices who currently sit on the bench of the Colorado Supreme Court were appointed by Democrats, thus, the chances that Phillips will lose the case there are fairly high, which means that afterward, the case will go before the U.S. Supreme Court.

“His chances are better at the high court, considering the precedent of 303 Creative LLC v. Elenis. In that 2023 case, the court declared that Colorado’s anti-discrimination laws involving LGBT individuals did not mean the state could force individuals to create or sell products against their religious beliefs,” Golden pointed out.

He also recalled that, “In that case, a Christian web designer was sued because she wouldn’t create wedding sites for same-sex couples. During oral arguments, attorneys for Scardina argued that, because that content creator would ‘produce a final story for each couple using her own words and her own original artwork,’ it differed from this case.”

“Over the last 10 years, Colorado officials and activists have tried to punish me for my religious beliefs,” the baker went on to state during a media briefing outside the courthouse.

“They have even tried to change my beliefs. Through all this, I believe firmly that free speech is for everyone, and no one should be forced to express a message that they don’t believe,” Phillips added.

The left wants you to accept their belief system and reject your own because it’s rather difficult to create a humanist “utopia” if people have different values that clash with one another. Progressives believe that the hive mind is the only way forward toward human perfection.

Of course, humanity is fundamentally broken and imperfect, with Jesus being the only answer to the issues it faces, but the left will never accept that. They firmly believe mankind can reach perfection. A helping hand is all that’s needed. By helping hand I mean forced at gunpoint to follow their “religion.”
