Obama’s Half-Brother Announces Endorsement For GOP Candidate

(Liberty Bell) – You would expect a person who comes from a family with a certain type of political background to likely be part of the same ideological belief system and party, but that is not at all the case for the half-brother of liberal icon former President Barack Obama. In fact, he has just come out and endorsed Pennsylvania GOP gubernatorial candidate Doug Mastriano.

Thanksgiving is going to be pretty awkward this year in the Obama household, don’t you think? Yikes. But yeah, this just goes to show you that there are people close to the former president who recognize that his worldview and politics are poison.

The Western Journal states, Malik Obama publicized his support for Mastriano in a tweet he posted on Sunday.

Obama’s half brother isn’t the only one who has declared support for Mastriano. Former President Donald Trump has also given his two thumbs up for him in the state’s governor race which is slated to take place in the November midterms.

“Mastriano’s Democratic opponent, Josh Shapiro, touted Barack Obama’s endorsement in an ad during his 2020 campaign for Pennsylvania Attorney General,” the Western Journal stated. “Malik Obama is the son of Barack Obama Sr., the 44th president’s father, according to the New York Post.”

For those who might not be all that familiar with Malik, this is far from the first time he and his former president half-brother have disagreed on political matters. The support of Mastriano is nothing compared to the endorsement he gave for Trump during the 2016 presidential racial. Malik disclosed that many of his brother’s policies were the reason for throwing his support behind the Republican nominee.

“In his endorsement, the dual Kenya-United States citizen objected to Democratic support for homosexual marriage, according to The Guardian,” The Western Journal went on to say. “Malik also criticized his brother for the 2011 regime change operation which removed Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi from power.”

“In a 2016 Hannity interview, the older Obama expressed some of his political disagreements with his younger half-brother. Malik described Barack as becoming aloof from his extended family after becoming president in 2009,” the report said.

Well, I guess there won’t be trouble at the Thanksgiving table after all, as Malik mentioned he hasn’t spoken to his half-brother since 2015, with the political divisions seemingly severing the family relationship. That is something becoming more and more common these days.

Malik has even referred to his younger brother as a “snob.”

“What I saw was he was the kind of person that wants people to worship him,” Malik went on to reveal in an interview conducted with the Post.

“He needs to be worshiped and I don’t do that. I am his older brother so I don’t do that,” he said.
