(Liberty Bell) – The Biden regime and Democrats have launched a full-scale war against fossil fuels and energy independence in the US. Just when you thought things couldn’t get any worse, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is only one election away from controlling the House subcommittee that oversees America’s oil and gas drilling on public lands.
That’s a terrifying prospect. Radical climate change zealot AOC should not be anywhere near the Energy and Mineral Resources Subcommittee yet she’s currently serving as its ranking member which could make her the prime candidate to head the committee.
In the event that Democrats take back control of the House (which would never happen in a sane world) AOC could take control of the committee, which would give her the power to push her progressive climate agenda.
The self-proclaimed Democratic Socialist has just recently reintroduced the Green New Deal while her progressive allies Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) and Sen. Edward Markey (D-Mass.) have introduced an accompanying healthcare package that they’re calling the Green New Deal for Health.
All of this amounts to nothing short of Communism. There’s no other way to look at it. Americans can stay in denial but the truth is Democrats are working overtime to lay the groundwork for a complete takeover should they somehow manage to win in 2024. They’re crafty and determined which should seriously concern the rest of us who are still in touch with reality.
“A lot of our victories have already begun, for example, by breaking off some of the pieces [of the Green New Deal] and incorporating it in different areas of must-pass legislation including the Inflation Reduction Act,” Ocasio-Cortez told E&E News.
As good climate zealots, AOC’s office, along with that of Sen. Markey, keep an ongoing document meant for tracking all aspects of the Green New Deal that have been pushed on Americans.

The Inflation Reduction Act saw many of the Green New Deals tenets implemented. Because of the radical bill, the U.S. is expected to undergo a significant drawdown in coal-fired power even as China continues to aggressively bring new coal plants online. Analysts at Goldman Sachs now estimate that the bill will cost roughly $1.2 trillion in subsidies for green energy projects over the next ten years. As with everything Biden has done, the cost has grown exponentially from the government’s initial estimated cost of $370 billion.
Rep. Jamaal Bowman of New York — the ranking member of the House Science, Space and Technology Subcommittee — told E&E that he never believed what was once a fringe element in the Democratic Party “would ever become inside-baseball people.”
Should Democrats take back the House in 2024, which is sadly a real possibility, climate zealots like Bowman and Reps. Khanna and Cori Bush of Missouri would find themselves in high-ranking positions right alongside AOC.
“The key to Congress is you just have to win, and then you have to stick around a bit,” Khanna, the former chair of the House Oversight and Reform Subcommittee on the Environment, told E&E News. “And the more progressive classes we get, and the more progressives stick it out in the House, the more power we’ll build.”
In other words, the less liberty Americans will have. That’s their ultimate goal.
If AOC chaired the Energy and Mineral Resources Subcommittee, she’d have oversight powers for energy production, mining and drilling on federal lands. She would without a doubt continue the Biden regime’s blocking of mining and drilling projects.
The nightmare would only continue for Americans.
