WATCH: Pelosi Suggests States Can Overrule Constitution, Ban Trump From Ballot

(Liberty Bell) – Go home, Nancy. You’re drunk. Again.

On Sunday, 83-year-old former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who seems to have a terminal case of Trump Derangement Syndrome, managed to somehow shock the liberal propagandists over at ABC’s “This Week” program — including host George Stephanopoulos — by suggesting how Democrats might finally be able to rid themselves of former President Donald Trump for good.

According to RedState, Pelosi told Stephanopoulos that individual states have the power and authority to overrule the Constitution and simply ban Trump from the presidential ballot. Hey Nancy, is that the wine talking or have you lost your marbles?

The report then stated that Pelosi made her appearance on the program to talk about the appeal Trump made to the U.S. Supreme Court in order to prevent his name from being removed from the Colorado ballot.

The California Democrat accused Trump of inciting an insurrection, which is bogus, because his communications that day clearly indicate he told supporters not to resort to any sort of violence, encouraging them to remain the party of law and order. Kind of difficult to start an insurrection when you are telling folks to do the exact opposite of what is normally done when overthrowing a government.

“I’m proud of the national anthem. And in it, it says ‘proof through the night that our flag was still there.’ We have to prove through this campaign in the night that our flag is still there with liberty and justice for all and not have an acceptance of Confederate flags under [the] Lincoln dome [at the Capitol] with a president sitting in the White House doing nothing to stop the violence,” Pelosi declared during the interview. “He talks about the big steal as he can engages in the big lie.”

Even Stephanopoulos was shocked by Pelosi’s suggestion. You know you’re talking crazy when a professional propaganda creator looks at you like you’re a few bricks shy of a full load.

Pelosi then mumbled and bumbled through the rest of her appearance, barely making intelligible, coherent sentences, leading me to believe she might have been hitting grandpa’s cough syrup before taking the stage.

“[Unitelligible] up to the states. They have different laws from state to state. I don’t think he should ever have been president. But nonetheless, [unintelligible] there’s a view of the Constitution — Article 14, Section 3 — that says he should not be able to run for president, but that’s not the point,” ABC News reported on her comments.

“The point now is, again … different states have different laws. We don’t think in California that it applies, um, in our state. … But anyway … that’s very intricate. What is very clear is that the American people want us to honor our oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States,” the former speaker remarked.

What Pelosi is really saying here is that the only way to save the Constitution is to violate it in the worst way possible and have states just ban Trump from their ballots. This is sort of like when she told the American people we can’t know what is in the healthcare bill until the legislation is passed. Remember that? It was a comment made during the Obama years. Same logic.

“While Pelosi was short on specifics and long on conjecture — all the while barely coherent — it was clear that she was employing an age-old Democrat strategy, this time concerning the U.S. Constitution, which is to pick and choose between parts of one of America’s founding documents,” RedState said. “The parts you don’t like? Ignore them. And the parts you like? Embrace them — or in Pelosi’s case, bend and shape them to interpret them to suit your needs. In this case, nothing short of banning Donald Trump from the 2024 presidential election. That is profound — even for Nancy Pelosi.”

Nancy, it’s well past time for last call. You don’t have to go home, but you certainly can’t stay here.
