(Liberty Bell) – The radical liberal ladies of “The View” actually had, what might be for the first time ever in the program’s history, a legitimately entertaining moment. And the whole thing, full of humor and laughter, happened just the other day when the co-hosts attempted to explain away President Joe Biden’s classified document debacle, which has expanded beyond the initial set of documents discovered into a second batch found in a totally different location than the first.
The segment of the show was supposed to cover the recent discovery of classified documents that were found in an office Biden used after his time serving as vice president in the Obama administration, according to reporter Peter Partoll of The Western Journal.
This, of course, has left Democrats in a rather awkward position as last summer Biden’s Justice Department, led by Attorney General Merrick Garland, raided former President Donald Trump’s Florida estate, claiming he had taken a slew of classified documents from the White House when he left office in 2021. In fact, just weeks after Biden’s documents were found, Garland announced there would be a special counsel investigating Trump over this situation, but he failed to mention anything about Biden’s documents, nor did he say anything about an investigation into him over the same act they were probing Trump over.
Well, now Biden is facing the same set of allegations he helped to push against Trump. And it’s really causing him a lot of headaches. It’s not too pleasant for his political allies either.
However, good people of the United States, fear not. Do not allow your hearts to be troubled. The women of “The View” assert that all is well and that Biden is not nearly as evil as Trump, so yeah, this is not a big deal.
“We all know that Trump is a liar and a thief. We know that. So it’s not that big a jump to say that he obstructed and he lied. We don’t think Biden is a liar and a thief, so we give him the benefit of the doubt,” co-host Joy Behar stated.
You know, it really does seem like the radical left has a difficult time with the idea of applying their own moral standards to folks they support on their side of the aisle. Funny, right?
So the argument Behar is putting forth is that Trump is a bad guy, and therefore, what he did was wrong. But Biden, whom she backs completely, gets caught doing the exact same thing, well, that’s okay, because he’s a good guy. Do these people not hear themselves?
“As a reminder, this is the same show that had Hillary Clinton on as a guest last year to talk about how dangerous it was that Trump took classified documents from the White House. But now, suddenly, it’s OK to take classified material, so long as you are a ‘good person,'” Partoll wrote. “This is clearly a ridiculous assertion. If it is wrong for one politician to do something because it endangers national security, then it is wrong for any politician to do it, regardless of their political leanings.”
When Trump was in the Oval Office, leftists condemned every move he made, even if all he did was sneeze and cough, but they are quick on the draw when it comes to concocting excuses for Biden.
Remember when they constantly complained about how dangerous and divisive the former president’s rhetoric was, but yet they said absolutely nothing when Biden gave speeches where he demonized political opponents as “threats to our republic?”
Or how about the time the left whined about all the trips Trump made to the golf course, but kept their traps shut when Biden used up even more vacation days?
Partoll noted, “They called Trump a racist for wanting to halt travel from China at the beginning of the COVID pandemic, but were quiet when Biden put restrictions on Chinese travel to the U.S.”
“Now, as Biden is accused of the same infraction that supposedly justified an FBI raid of Trump’s home, the left is proving once again that it is not about policy or character; it is purely about politics and power,” the writer concluded.
