(Liberty Bell) – If there is anyone in this country who knows how the “swamp” in our nation’s capital works, it’s former President Donald Trump. He sat at the top of the executive branch in the most politically corrupt time in our history. He’s also been the target of one attack after another from the deep state, a group of progressive politicians and government workers who are hell bent on destroying our beautiful republic in an attempt to build a utopian society using Karl Marx as a blueprint. This has been tried over and over again in the past. It has failed every single time. Why? Because the principles are not grounded in reality.
Trump’s familiarity with the political corruption in D.C. means that he knows very well that he has zero chance of receiving a fair trial in the area. As per Michael Schwarz of The Western Journal, Trump took to Truth Social on Sunday morning where he broke down the reasons why he would not receive a fair trial as guaranteed by the Constitution, if the trial were to take place in D.C., and what he is planning to do about it.
“He began by focusing on the city itself, where residents remain hostile to him for a variety of reasons. As usual, Trump made his point both conspicuous and emphatic by using all capital letters,” the report noted.
“NO WAY I CAN GET A FAIR TRIAL, OR EVEN CLOSE TO A FAIR TRIAL, IN WASHINGTON, D.C. THERE ARE MANY REASONS FOR THIS, BUT JUST ONE IS THAT I AM CALLING FOR A FEDERAL TAKEOVER OF THIS FILTHY AND CRIME RIDDEN EMBARRASSMENT TO OUR NATION, WHERE MURDERS HAVE JUST SHATTERED THE ALL TIME RECORD, OTHER VIOLENT CRIMES HAVE NEVER [BEEN] WORSE, AND TOURISTS HAVE FLED. THE FEDERAL TAKEOVER IS VERY UNPOPULAR WITH POTENTIAL AREA JURORS, BUT NECESSARY FOR SAFETY, GREATNESS, & FOR ALL THE WORLD TO SEE!” the former president stated in his post.
President Trump posted a new statement on Truth Social this morning.
He said “NO WAY I CAN GET A FAIR TRIAL, OR EVEN CLOSE TO A FAIR TRIAL IN WASHINGTON DC.”

Trump then turned his attention toward the prosecutors involved in the case over their political motivations for bringing him to trial.
“DERANGED JACK SMITH AND OUR HIGHLY PARTISAN, AND VERY CORRUPT, DEPARTMENT OF INJUSTICE, COULD HAVE BROUGHT THIS [BIDEN] ‘OPPONENT’ CASE YEARS AGO, BUT CHOSE TO WAIT AND BRING IT RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF MY ELECTION CAMPAIGN. NO WAY!!! I HOPE YOU ARE WATCHING AMERICA. OUR COUNTRY IS BEING DESTROYED. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” Trump remarked.

The former president then went on to state that his legal team is about to make two very important requests. The first will be asking U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan, who was appointed to her position by former President Barack Obama and has a rather extensive record of slapping Jan. 6 defendants with super harsh sentences, to recuse herself from presiding over the case. Secondly, Trump’s attorneys will try to have the trial moved outside of Washington. Both seem like critical steps to take in order to ensure Trump’s constitutional right to a fair trial is upheld.
“THERE IS NO WAY I CAN GET A FAIR TRIAL WITH THE JUDGE ‘ASSIGNED’ TO THE RIDICULOUS FREEDOM OF SPEECH/FAIR ELECTIONS CASE. EVERYBODY KNOWS THIS, AND SO DOES SHE! WE WILL BE IMMEDIATELY ASKING FOR RECUSAL OF THIS JUDGE ON VERY POWERFUL GROUNDS, AND LIKEWISE FOR VENUE CHANGE, OUT [OF] D.C.,” Trump finished.
Schwarz then weighed in on the matter, writing, “In some respects, one hesitates to legitimize this travesty by analyzing details such as judges and jurors. Every fair-minded person who has paid attention to public affairs since 2016 can see what Trump’s enemies intend to do. Judges and jurors have no relevance except that they constitute part of the sinister plan. The regime wants its most effective critic imprisoned and will stop at nothing to make it happen.”
And, as the author pointed out, Trump has indicated that he is well aware of that fact. Whoever is presiding over the case plays a very important role in the progressive theater. Another, more sinister question that needs to be answered, is why, in the nation’s capital, does a former president not have a chance at having a fair trial?
Trump himself has given a number of reasons, but he focused on how he lent his support to the idea of a federal takeover of the crime-ridden capital. However, as Schwarz points out, this is a pretty big underestimation of just how much jurors in the city hate the former president.
“In short, Washington, D.C., has all the characteristics of an imperial capital. For instance, wealth demonstrably flows from the hinterlands to the seat of government. According to a 2022 U.S. News story, five of the eight wealthiest counties in the U.S. are suburbs of D.C. This includes Loudoun County, Virginia, and Falls Church County, Virginia, the nation’s two wealthiest counties by median household income,” the piece said.
Trump made it a point during his administration, as well as his presidential campaigns, to pull the curtain back and expose the government’s fleecing of the American people. Officials in the government despise him for that. Residents of the city who have made money from such efforts also hate him. In other words, the trial needs to be moved.
