Resolution Being Drafted To Expel Dem Congressman Jamaal Bowman

(Liberty Bell) – It’s a well established fact that modern-day Democrats are basically just adult children, and that’s not meant in a whimsical, lovable kind of way. No, when I say that I’m talking about their propensity to throw absolute temper tantrums when they don’t get what they want, when they want it. Not only that, they are willing to employ some truly childish tactics in pursuit of their agenda.

A good case in point is the story of a Democratic Party lawmaker who took it upon himself to try and obstruct a vote by pulling the fire alarm located within the Cannon Office Building over the weekend.

As a result of the stunt, House Republicans are now demanding this individual face some sort of punishment for his actions, which, as per The Western Journal’s Jack Davis, could include expulsion from Congress.

“Democratic Rep. Jamaal Bowman, a member of the far-left progressive ‘squad,’ was shown on a security camera image pulling the alarm, which took place not long after House Republicans unveiled a stopgap budget bill that would later pass,” Davis wrote.

GOP Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis from the state of New York fired off a fast reply.

“This is the United States Congress, not a New York City high school. To pull the fire alarm to disrupt proceedings when we are trying to draft legislation to AVERT A SHUTDOWN is pathetic…even for members of the socialist squad,” she posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.

The resolution was already drafted by Saturday evening. If you know how slow Congress tends to work on anything, you know this is the equivalent of warp speed.

“House Speaker Kevin McCarthy cited the Capitol incursion in his reaction to the stunt. McCarthy said the House Ethics Committee should take the incident ‘seriously,’ according to NBC,” Davis reported.

“This should not go without punishment,” the Speaker of the House remarked. “I’m gonna have a discussion with the Democratic leader about it. But this should not go without punishment. This is an embarrassment.”

McCarthy then referred to the incident as a “new low” before launching accusations at Bowman of purposefully “trying to obstruct” the proceedings.

“Republican Reps. Harriet Hageman of Wyoming and Lisa McLain of Michigan said they are preparing a resolution to censure Bowman, according to Axios. A censure resolution could pass with a majority; expulsion would take a two-thirds majority,” Davis added.

More than a handful of Bowman’s Democratic Party colleagues looked on his actions with serious disapproval.

“I’d like to understand, obviously, what his explanation is,” Democratic Rep. Joe Morelle of New York stated in response to the incident. “A member of Congress should certainly never put people in jeopardy and this puts people in the middle of health and safety issues.”

So what did Bowman have to say for himself? The excuse he gave for pulling the alarm is the lamest ever given since kids cooked up the classic “my dog ate my homework” bit.

“I thought the alarm would open the door,” Bowman commented later, an article from the Daily Mail revealed.

Does he really expect adults to believe this garbage? For real? Who in their right mind would think that pulling a fire alarm, which is clearly marked as such, would open a door? That’s the best he could come up with? Bowman obviously is not good at thinking on his feet.

As if that wasn’t bad enough, Bowman then affirmed that the idea he was purposefully attempting to delay the vote was “complete BS.”

Davis’ report noted, “Bowman’s representative Emma Simon said it was all just a mistake, according to the New York Post.”

“Congressman Bowman did not realize he would trigger a building alarm as he was rushing to make an urgent vote,” she asserted.

Falsely pulling a fire alarm is considered a misdemeanor that could potentially be punished by sending the guilty party to jail for up to six months.
