(Liberty Bell) – A judge in the state of Colorado issued a ruling that is leaving liberals all over the state and country extremely disappointed, as she shot down an effort to try and remove former President Donald Trump from the 2024 election ballot, according to the Daily Caller. If you listen closely, you’ll hear the wails and screams of progressives as they realize that every single time they have tried to take out Trump and ensure he can’t run for office, it has failed. And guess what? That’s probably going to be the outcome of the four indictments as well. It seems inevitable that Trump will go toe-to-toe with President Joe Biden a second time. You thought 2020 was wild? You ain’t seen nothing yet.
The report reveals Judge Sarah Wallace declared in her 102 page ruling last Friday that the former president is not considered an “officer of the United States.” Thus, cannot be disqualified from holding office under section three of the 14th Amendment. She then ordered the state’s secretary of state to put Trump on the primary ballot, news that no doubt sent leftists into hysterics.
Now, before you go thinking that this means Judge Wallace is pro-Trump, it’s important to note that she says Trump “engaged in an insurrection on January 6, 2021 through incitement” and does not believe the things he said are protected under free speech.
“While the Court agrees that there are persuasive arguments on both sides, the Court holds that the absence of the President from the list of positions to which the Amendment applies combined with the fact that Section Three specifies that the disqualifying oath is one to ‘support’ the Constitution whereas the Presidential oath is to ‘preserve, protect and defend’ the Constitution, it appears to the Court that for whatever reason the drafters of Section Three did not intend to include a person who had only taken the Presidential Oath,” Wallace remarked in the ruling.
The judge then noted that she’s not thrilled about embracing an interpretation that would “disqualify a presidential candidate without a clear, unmistakable indication that such is the intent of Section Three.”
So who led the effort in Colorado to have Trump booted from the ballot? Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics. The group, backed by leftist donors, filed their lawsuit a month ago in an attempt to pull Trump’s name from the ballot, citing Section 3 of Article 14 of the U.S. Constitution. Why are Democrats so darn desperate to have Trump pulled from ballots?
Simply put, Trump is performing extremely well in national polls and Democrats aren’t sure what to make about this.
“[T]he poll finds Biden behind former President Donald Trump for the first time in a hypothetical general-election matchup, although the deficit is well within the poll’s margin of error for a contest that’s still more than 11 months away,” NBC News stated in a piece on Sunday, citing a newly published survey.
“Interestingly, the president’s loss of support (compared to previous NBC News polls) is most pronounced among Democrats, many of whom are angry at him for supporting Israel in its war against Hamas. Indeed, a stunning 70 percent of Democrat voters between the ages of 18 and 34 disapprove of how he’s handled the war,” BizPac Review divulged.
