Woke Soccer Stars Get Brutal Response After Taking A Knee

(Liberty Bell) – People are sick of the left’s constant wokeness and the resistance to it has been rising for months.

A crowd of young Hungarians let the stars of England’s national soccer team know just how sick and tired of their woke antics they are.

England’s national team began kneeling last year to mark the death of criminal and junkie George Floyd in 2020 and have been doing it ever since.

On Saturday, however, the team received a message from the crowd in Budapest, Hungary, that they likely weren’t anticipating, according to The Washington Post.

The circumstances of the game were unusual to begin with. Hungary had been ordered to play without fans as punishment for supposed anti-gay banners, homophobic crowd behavior and racial abuse towards players on opposing teams.

However, it was decided that children under the age of 14 would be allowed to attend with one adult for every 10 kids.

Looks like children in Hungary have more sense than grown adults.

Gareth Southgate, Englands’ coach, said he was baffled by the response.

“I have no idea why people would choose to boo that gesture, and very often young people can’t know why they’re doing it, so they’re being influenced by older adults — everyone knows what we believe and what we stand for,” Southgate said.

Right, because children can’t possibly think on their own. Pretty interesting that Southgate would say that these children “can’t know why they’re doing it” and that they must be under the influence of “older adults,” but yet children are supposed to be able to decide what gender they are?

Which is it? Because it certainly can’t be both. Don’t expect any leftists to admit that.

“What I would say is, I hear that still in our stadiums as well. That’s why we do it and continue to take that stand, and we will keep doing that as a team,” he said.

Southgate said the response was a surprise.

“The atmosphere when we arrived at the stadium, there were kids lining the streets, it was really friendly. They were waving when we were walking out to warm up. I thought there were sort of pantomime boos when our team came out to warm up,” he said.

Southgate attempted to pass off the kids’ boos as them trying to intimidate adults.

“That was different with the taking of the knee, but that felt like inherited thinking to me. We do it (taking the knee) to try to educate, and I think young people can only be influenced by older people.”

Interesting thought process there. Wonder how he feels about children being mature enough to pick their gender.

Southgate further questioned the decision to allow fans in the stadium at all.

“How that aligns with the decision is difficult to understand,” he said. He just sounds like a poor sport who’s upset because things didn’t go his way. Boo hoo.

England lost, 1-0.
