(Liberty Bell) – The FBI has reportedly produced 68 pages of documents relating to Democrat National Committee (DNC) worker Seth Rich who was shot dead in 2016 in Washington DC near his home.
Included in the documents is an investigative summary that appears to indicate that his death may have been paid for.
Rich was shot in the early morning hours of July 16, 2016 and speculation soon arose suggesting he was involved with leaking DNC documents to WikiLeaks. The speculation was sparked by WikiLeaks founder, Julian Assange, himself.
Assange claimed that Rich was his source for internal DNC emails that had been provided to WikiLeaks. Rich’s family claims the theory is nonsense and untrue.
According to the newly released documents, Department of Justice officials met in 2018 to discuss Rich’s murder. During this meeting the officials reviewed Rich’s financial records and claim not to have found anything unusual or suspicious in his withdrawals or deposits.
The documents also point out that none of the witnesses interviewed in connection to Rich’s death reported anything unusual about his life prior to his murder.
One eyewitness to the actual murder reported an individual walking away from the location where Rich was shot dead but had just thought Rich was drunk and saw no reason to alert authorities.
It wasn’t until the next day that the witness realized something horrible happened when they saw blood stains on the sidewalk and police tape surrounding the area.
One of the documents claims that a person whose name has been redacted took Rich’s personal laptop to his house. The information indicates that authorities were not able to determine whether or not this individual deleted anything or made any changes on Rich’s laptop.
The FBI obtained possession of Rich’s work laptop which sadly does little to encourage confidence in the investigation.
Another page within the released documents suggests that Rich’s death could have been paid for, it says, “given [redacted] it is conceivable that an individual or group would want to pay for his death.”
Attorney Ty Clevenger asserts that the circumstances surrounding Rich’s murder don’t “sound like a random street robbery,” as has been suggested by law enforcement officials.
Law enforcement has stated that what happened to Rich was just a random robbery despite nothing of Rich’s being missing or stolen. They also claim that there is no evidence linking Rich’s death to his employment by the DNC.
The files were released this week as the result of a lawsuit filed on behalf of Texas resident Brian Huddleston, represented by Clevenger. Huddleston filed the lawsuit after being told by the FBI last June that it would take 8 to 10 months for them to respond to his Freedom of Information Act request.
In his FOIA request, Huddleston was seeking all data, documents, records or communications that reference Rich or his brother, Aaron Rich.
Earlier this year, a federal judge ordered the FBI to respond to the FOIA request and produce the appropriate documents by April 23.
According to the FBI, there were 576 related documents but the Bureau only produced 68 of them for Huddleston.
Clevenger noted, however, that the documents that were released seem to show “that their whole narrative is falling apart,” referring to the FBI. Clevenger also notes that he finds it particularly concerning that the FBI doesn’t seem to know whether any information was deleted from Rich’s personal laptop.
Huddleston and Clevenger plan to continue fighting for the rest of the documents to be released though the FBI is doing everything they can to stall, claiming that the Bureau can only process 500 pages per month for each FOIA request and that they need more time.
The FBI knows the truth about Rich’s murder and now it’s time for the American people to know as well.

I have zero confidence in the FBI. It’s a septic tank of corruption.
If you are expecting the FBI to solve a political case you are going to be waiting a very long time. The swamp creature infesting that organization will stonewall until all of us are dead and the name Seth Rich means nothing to society.
