(Liberty Bell) – White House National Security Council adviser Roberta Jacobson allegedly mistakenly told migrants that the Southern border was open during a White House briefing held on Wednesday.
The real question to ask at this point is whether or not this was truly accidental, a Freudian slip, or a legit message encouraging individuals who are headed for the border to just come right on over into the United States. None of the above would be all that shocking, would they?
After all, the radical left just loves to have illegal aliens come here so they can butter them up with free stuff and turn them into lifelong Democratic voters.
According to Breitbart, Jacobson switched from English to Spanish during the briefing and said, “la frontera no esta cerrada,” which translates to the “border is NOT closed.” After a White House aide gave her a slip of paper later on in the briefing, Jacobson then went on to correct herself saying “la frontera esta cerrada,” which means the border IS closed.

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki was later asked about the slip up during a press briefing as a reported noted that the mix up could be picked up by Spanish-speaking migrants.
“Well, given she also said that the border is closed, we’re hopeful that that is what will be picked up. And that has clearly and consistently been our message,” Psaki replied.
Jacobson went on to acknowledge during the briefing that the Biden administration was struggling with the problem of “mixed messages” by trying to provide migrants with hope for a path into the country while also reminding them of the dangers of the trek up here.
“I will certainly agree we are trying to walk and chew gum at the same time,” she stated.
Psaki told the press on Tuesday that “we are not trying to close our borders” and then stated the priority was to “create an effective, moral, humane system.”
Jacobson went on to blame the current crisis on the “hope” that the Biden administration is providing compared to that of the former Trump administration.
“We’ve seen surges before,” Jacobson said. “Surges tend to respond to hope and there was a significant hope for a more humane policy after four years of pent-up demand.”
Or, maybe the reason for the crisis is because Biden got rid of Trump’s immigration policies and they are now rushing to take advantage of the opportunity he’s so graciously providing for them? You know, to turn them into Democrats and puff up voter rolls?
