Trump Has 4 Women On His VP Shortlist, And A MAGA Fan Favorite Is One Of Them

(Liberty Bell) – To a lot of Americans on the conservative side of the political spectrum, the 2024 GOP primary race is nothing more than a formality for former President Donald Trump, meaning that most believe he will easily win the party’s nomination, thus the conversation concerning his campaign is currently zeroing in on who might potentially be chosen as his vice presidential running mate.

Kevin Haggerty, writing for BizPacReview, says that there is one outlet that believes they might have figured out who Trump will choose for the spot, and they say it’s a conservative woman who is a big fan favorite with the MAGA crowd. There are a few names that could potentially fit that description. Very interesting.

“Unlike Democrats with former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the GOP isn’t interested in a coronation and challengers to Trump will be encouraged to help bring out the president’s A-game as he makes his third bid for the White House. In the meantime, as the frontrunner speculation abounds over whom he’ll ask to run as vice president, Axios reported which female firebrand is ‘a model’ running mate,” Haggerty writes.

“With many strong candidates to choose from like Gov. Kristi Noem (SD), who has placed her record up against Gov. Ron DeSantis (FL), and former UN ambassador Nikki Haley, whose own bid for the nomination could be considered an audition to be second in command, insiders told the outlet former news anchor and 2022 Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake is currently the favorite,” he continues.

“Former President Trump is strongly considering picking a female running mate — and sees Kari Lake as a model for his vice-presidential pick,” Axios went on to say, “according to people who discussed the topic with him.”

The outlet then revealed several other top contenders for the coveted spot, such as Noem and Haley, along with newly elected Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders. Sanders has some experience working with the former president as she served as his White House press secretary and has been delivering major blows in the culture war during her time as governor.

“Axios’ report coincided with the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) which released its straw poll results Saturday ahead of Trump’s address to attendees. The former president took the top spot handily for the favored 2024 candidate, drawing 62 percent of the vote over his next nearest competitor, the yet-to-announce DeSantis who garnered 20 percent of the more than 2,000 respondents,” the article stated.

Out of a pool of 28 potential VP candidates, Lake took the victory with ease, making her the favorite among the crowd who attended the event this year. Her closest competition for the position is powerhouse Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis with 14 percent and Haley with 10 percent.

“In response to her straw poll victory, Lake’s communication team demonstrated precisely why she is a favored pick to run alongside Trump as they drew attention to the election challenge still ongoing in Arizona and wrote, ‘We’re flattered, but unfortunately our legal team says the Constitution won’t allow for her to serve as Governor and VP at the same time,'” Haggerty says.
