(Liberty Bell) – The Democratic Party is the party of political violence. They encourage it, endorse it, promote and applaud it. They also make threats like House Speaker Nancy Pelosi did prior to the Jan. 6 2021 protest at the Capitol.
In new video footage, Pelosi can be seen threatening to “punch him out,” referring to Donald Trump, the sitting US President at the time, should he show up at the Capitol complex.
In the video, shared publicly on Thursday, Pelosi acknowledged that punching Trump could result in her going to jail but that she’d “be happy.”
“I hope he comes, I’m going to punch him out,” Pelosi tells her Chief of Staff Terri McCullough, who discourages her boss from making the comments. “I’ve been waiting for this, for trespassing on the Capitol grounds. I’m going to punch him out.”
“I’m going to go to jail, and I’m going to be happy,” Pelosi added.
The footage was recorded by Pelosi’s daughter, filmmaker Alexandra Pelosi and was released during the House Jan. 6 Committee hearing Thursday afternoon. CNN added more context to the video during “Anderson Cooper 360.”
“Tell him if he comes here, we’re going to the White House,” Pelosi also stated in the clip.
When Pelosi made the comments, Trump was holding a lawful rally at the Ellipse, about two miles away from the Capitol. Trump told his supporters that he would be joining them at the Capitol. He ultimately did not join the marchers at the Capitol but it is interesting to see Pelosi making these kinds of threatening comments prior to any protest taking place.
It’s almost like Pelosi knew what was about to happen.
Her sham Jan. 6 Committee has been doing everything in their power to paint Trump as a tyrannical villain but the facts just don’t support their narrative. Fortunately, the charade is coming to an end soon.
Thursday the committee held what is likely to be their final hearing. During the hearing, Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-MS) noted during his opening statements, “What Donald Trump proceeded to do after the 2020 election is something no president has done before in our country,” adding, “In a staggering betrayal of his oath, Donald Trump attempted a plan that led to an attack on a pillar of our democracy. It’s still hard to believe.”
“But the facts and testimony are clear, consistent, and undisputed,” he contended.
Except the facts don’t support this idea that President Trump planned and incited an “insurrection” at the Capitol on Jan. 6. On top of that, witnesses who appeared before the committee were never cross-examined. The entire charade has been entirely one-sided.
Interestingly, however, the committee unanimously voted to subpoena Trump himself to testify. It’s surprising the committee wants to give Trump the opportunity to give his side of the story and defend himself.
Trump has repeatedly spoken out against the sham, partisan committee. On his social media platform, Truth Social, Trump called the committee a “total bust” and said the committee’s only purpose was to “further divide” the country.
“Why didn’t the Unselect Committee ask me to testify months ago? Why did they wait until the very end, the final moments of their last meeting? Because the Committee is a total ‘BUST’ that has only served to further divide our Country which, by the way, is doing very badly,” Trump wrote.
An individual close to Trump told Fox News Digital that Trump “loves the idea of testifying” before the committee as he could then “talk about how corrupt the election was, how corrupt the committee was, and how Nancy Pelosi did not call up the National Guard that Trump strongly recommended for her to do three days earlier on Jan. 3, 2021.”
Trump wondered as much Thursday afternoon on Truth Social, saying, “Why didn’t Crazy Nancy Pelosi call out the ‘troops’ before January 6th, which I strongly recommended that she do. It was her responsibility, but she ‘didn’t like the look.’ Crazy Nancy failed the American People!”
During an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital on Thursday, Trump blasted the committee and its sham investigation, calling it a “witch hunt.”
“The committee is a hoax, a sham, a partisan witch hunt which is a continuation of the witch hunt that has gone on since the great day for our country that I came down the golden escalator with our future first lady,” Trump said. “They have no case, they have no ratings, so they have to try to do this to get publicity.”
