(Liberty Bell) – In news that will probably make your stomach turn, California Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom, who is currently running political ads in other states, is apparently planning to run for president in 2024, but only under one condition: Joe Biden doesn’t run for a second term, according to two sources with knowledge of Newsom’s plan.
These sources, one of which is a leading California fundraiser who has a close relationship with the Newsome family, spoke with TheWrap, saying “After this midterm election is over, he absolutely is going to announce that he is running for the presidency once Biden announces that he is not running. No ifs, ands or buts. He will run if Biden does not.”
In a recent interview Biden conducted with CBS, he tap danced around the question of whether he would run in 2024 like Danny Kaye in “White Christmas.”
“Look, if I were to say to you, I’m running again, all of a sudden, a whole range of things come into play that I have — requirements I have to change and move and do in terms of election laws. And it’s much too early to make that kind of decision. I am a great respecter of fate. And so, what I’m doing is I’m doing my job. I’m gonna do that job. And within the time frame that makes sense after this next election cycle here, going into next year, make a judgment on what to do,” Biden stated during the interview.
“Look, my intention as I said to begin with is that I would run again,” he went on to say. “But it’s just an intention. But is it a firm decision that I run again? That remains to be seen.”
That sounds rather suspicious, doesn’t it? It almost sounds like he’s providing himself an out because, deep down, he’s not planning on doing another run for office. Given he’s as old as dirt and losing a lot of his mental faculties, he should probably just go ahead and admit he’s not running for a second term.
A report from CNBC has revealed that an executive on Wall Street, which it did not name, who happened to secure funds for Biden back in 2020, has stated that both Newsom and Vice President Kamala Harris are trying to get some big-time Democratic Party donors on the hook.
“I don’t think it’s unusual that the California governor would be making moves that would suggest he may run for national office,” political strategist Rob Stutzman said during an interview with KABC-TV. “Every California governor, more or less, at some point envisions themselves in the Oval Office.”
While Newsom himself has stated that he has zero interest in running, Stutzman said that if Biden opts not to take another stab at the White House, everything changes.

“He may have a sub-zero interest in it now, but not if Joe Biden says I’m not going to run. If that comes out, he will move forward very fast,” the report from The Western Journal said.
“There’s absolutely no question in my mind from what I know about him, and I may be wrong, that he will run for president,” Cotchett remarked.
It certainly seems like Newsom has done a lot of political posturing over the last several months, especially with attacks on Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis. Why would he do this if he didn’t plan to run for president? There would be no reason for him to involve himself in the politics of other states if he weren’t suddenly eyeing something on the national stage.
