(Liberty Bell) – Big Tech companies were paramount in the stealing of the 2020 presidential election campaign and while their influence and intentions were brazen, they’re all attempting to save face now and appear nonpartisan and unbiased.
They’re not fooling anyone.
YouTube announced Friday that President Trump’s channel has been restored after it had been suspended in the wake of the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot.
“The Donald J. Trump channel is no longer restricted and the ability to upload new content is restored,” the online video-sharing and social media platform told Fox News Digital.
YouTube claimed the decision was primarily due to the fact that Trump is running for president again and they want to ensure voters have full access to his campaign. It didn’t stop the video-sharing platform from continuing the left’s Jan. 6 narrative and thus engaging in the very type of election influencing that they partook in during the 2020 election cycle.
“We carefully evaluated the continued risk of real-world violence, balancing that with the importance of preserving the opportunity for voters to hear equally from major national candidates in the run up to an election.”
The channel is being restored but, as Axios reports, the videos that had been previously uploaded will not be restored.
It certainly seems to be interesting timing for such a decision. Trump announced months ago that he was officially running for president and now rumors are circulating that Trump is expected to be arraigned and indicted on Tuesday.
YouTube could have at any point between when Trump made his official declaration of candidacy to now, restored his channel but they waited until just days before he’s expected to be arrested? Sure seems like a political stunt intended to hurt Trump rather than help him.
It’s hard to believe their motives are simply to ensure Americans have access to his campaign. They didn’t care at all about whether or not Americans had access to Trump when they decided to ban him when he was still the duly elected, sitting President of the United States.
Suddenly now they’re concerned about Americans “having access.”
Of course, we can appreciate Trump being permitted to make use of the video-sharing site but we certainly wouldn’t blame him if he took a hard pass on that and opted to stick with platforms that don’t engage in anti-American censorship such as his own social media site, Truth Social, and Rumble.
Not only does the move by YouTube seem to be somehow politically motivated given the timing, it was also very likely driven by their own business interests rather than a genuine concern for Americans.
Why should Trump help YouTube financially by buying ads on the site when they have actively worked against him and conservative Americans for years now?
YouTube is the latest Big Tech outlet to make the decision to allow Trump to return. About a month ago, Meta announced that Facebook and Instagram would be restoring Trump’s accounts.
Despite their loathe of Trump, they can’t deny his popularity and the dollar signs that come with it. It’s only out of greed that these platforms are restoring Trump’s accounts.
While they made their political allegiance known clearly after Jan 6, they certainly don’t want to miss out on the profit boon that is the Trump brand.
Big Tech is utterly unscrupulous.
