(Liberty Bell) – Since Tucker Carlson’s sudden departure from Fox News, he appears to be living his best life while the rest of us desperately try to make sense of it all and predict where he will end up next.
Carlson has amassed a large and ferociously loyal following over the last several years and became even bigger than Fox News itself. While it’s highly unlikely he’s going to end up at a smaller news outlet, that isn’t stopping them from trying.
Every conservative outlet in the US fully understands what having Carlson on the payroll would do for their bottom line and we can’t blame them for wanting the primetime powerhouse on their team.
One America News Network (OANN) has made it clear they want Tucker and the San Diego-based outlet is willing to shell out big bucks for him.
Carlson might be contractually constrained from taking an offer from OANN and OANN is still facing its own lawsuit from Dominion Voting Systems, like Fox News which resulted in Fox agreeing to pay a nearly $800 million settlement.
Nonetheless, within hours of Carlson’s exit from Fox, OANN CEO and founder Robert Herring Sr. was making Carlson an offer he might find difficult to refuse.
The conservative firebrand has a net worth of around $30 million and was reportedly making $8m/year from Fox News to host “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” according to the Times of San Diego. Herring asserted he’d be willing to offer Carlson $25 million to join OANN.
Herring told the Times via email: “It would be great if we could get Tucker! I might give him around $25 million. And he would be well worth that!”
He certainly would be. No one can deny that.
“@RobHerring would like to extend an invitation to Carlson to meet for negotiation,” OANN tweeted.

Former CNN host of “Reliable Sources,” Brian Stelter, expressed doubt that Carlson would end up at OANN, saying the former Fox host is “too big” for the independent network.
"One America News founder and CEO Robert Herring would like to extend an invitation to Carlson to meet for negotiation to become a part of the OAN team."
Carlson is so much bigger than OAN, and he wouldn't sink this low, but still notable… https://t.co/CcjsFmK1Fw

He may be too big for any independent outlet but that isn’t stopping them from trying.
TheBlaze owner and fellow Fox alum, Glenn Beck, noted that what the network remarked in their statement about Carlson’s departure was similar to what they said about his own exit and made it clear he’d also be thrilled to give Carlson a new home.
Fox News' goodbye message to @TuckerCarlson sure looks like what they said when I left. I have a feeling this will KILL Fox. pic.twitter.com/oOFXnv4sKp

Countless outlets clamored to get Carlson’s attention, even many outside of the news organization sphere. Kevin Roberts, founder of the Heritage Foundation, for example, tweeted that there will “always be a home” for Carlson at his organization. Carlson worked for the Heritage Foundation early in his career and just recently delivered the keynote address at the DC-based institution’s 50th-anniversary celebration last Friday.
I've said it before and I will say it again, @TuckerCarlson is a fearless American who is unafraid to challenge the Washington regime, ask tough questions, and hold the ruling elite accountable.

Even Russia Today, now known as RT, made an offer, “Hey @TuckerCarlson, you can always question more with @RT_com.” That offer only fuels the left’s outrageous accusations that Carlson works for the Kremlin.

The New York Times reported, “Howard Polskin, who compiles a daily newsletter, TheRighting, that tracks conservative news outlets, said that Mr. Carlson could join niche networks like NewsNation or Newsmax. He could start his own media brand, like Dan Bongino, the conservative pundit who also parted ways with Fox last week, Mr. Polskin said.”
The options are limitless and Carlson is in a unique position. He will find instant success no matter what he chooses to do next.
Cynthia Kaui, the president and chair of San Diego Young Republicans, commented in a statement: “With Tucker Carlson hailing from San Diego, we are grateful for his attention to issues that challenged conventional narratives and his dedication to bringing the highest level of journalism to his viewership.”
She added, “I suspect Tucker will be launching an independent project soon. Our members get their news from various outlets, and Tucker will continue to be an important voice that conservatives seek out regardless of what he does next,” she posited.
Indeed, Tucker Carlson will remain an important figure within the conservative movement and no matter where he goes, America will follow.
