BREAKING: N.Y. Times Makes Bombshell Admission About Masks And COVID

(Liberty Bell) – In a move that is sure to shock the vast majority of Americans who have not spent the coronavirus pandemic with their head in the sand, the New York Times is actually starting to inform its readers that using masks to try and stop the spread of COVID-19 is useless.

This is happening right as the Biden administration is attempting to appeal a decision made by a judge who decided to strike down the mask mandate for federal transportation, which you know is going to make the guy super cranky, especially if he doesn’t get his afternoon nap.

The Times’ David Leonhardt reports that data demonstrates that in U.S. cities “where mask use has been more common, Covid has spread at a similar rate as in mask-resistant cities.”

I seem to recall the vast majority of conservatives and common sense Americans in this country telling the knuckleheads in our current culture this very same fact, but were immediately ridiculed for it and accused of being anti-science.

But we shouldn’t hold our breath waiting for an apology, because one isn’t coming.

“Mask mandates in schools also seem to have done little to reduce the spread,” Leonhardt writes in his report. “Hong Kong, despite almost universal mask-wearing, recently endured one of the world’s worst Covid outbreaks.”

“The Department of Justice, meanwhile, has appealed the decision by federal Judge Kathryn Kimball Mizelle on April 18 to strike down the mask mandate on planes and trains. She argued that the Centers for Disease Control failed to justify the mandate, and she ruled that the CDC exceeded its authority when it issued the mandate in February 2021 without public comment. The DOJ contends Mizelle did not show how the CDC acted outside of its authority. The government insists its findings on masking in early 2021 provided “ample support” that the mandate was necessary,” WND reported.

“However, there has been no presentation of data showing any increase in infections from air travel since the mandate was lifted more than one month ago, and airliners have never been shown to be a vector for the spread of COVID-19,” the report continued.

“In a Senate hearing last fall, American Airlines CEO Doug Parker and Southwest CEO Gary Kelly argued that airliners provide an indoor environment as sanitized as a hospital operating room. The planes, they pointed out, are equipped with high-grade HEPA filters and regularly exchange cabin air with fresh air from outside,” WND stated.

Earlier this week, WND issued a report that discussed a study comparing data between counties in the state of Kansas which discovered that those that mandated masks for COVID actually had a higher rate of death than those that did not.

That’s an interesting little tidbit to chew on, isn’t it?

If there are still places around the country that are requiring masks, it’s probably time to say enough is enough and end them now. They are ineffective and only cause folks to breathe in nasty germs. We must get back to normal. The crisis is over.
